Most postcards are flat. Moloka‘i has another option.
The Post-a-Nut tradition at Hoʻolehua Post Office turns a coconut into correspondence, with a message and address written directly on the shell. The coconut does the work of both souvenir and packaging, which is a respectable workload for a piece of fruit.
“No Envelope Required” celebrates this wonderfully specific postal tradition. A coconut, a stamp-inspired motif and something the recipient is unlikely to mistake for a bill. Postage, of course, still applies.
