Point Nemo | The Spacecraft Cemetery
Last stop: the South Pacific.
Point Nemo is the ocean’s farthest point from land. A broader South Pacific region receives surviving debris from controlled reentries of retired spacecraft. Falling hardware and a lonely gravestone give this “Spacecraft Cemetery” design its darkly comic souvenir treatment.
For space nerds and lovers of remote places. The cemetery is real as a nickname; the headstone is strictly artistic licence. No astronauts are being buried here.
