Three ancient Egyptians. Three beer jars. Several thousand years of questionable decisions.

The pyramids were impressive. The engineering was extraordinary. The after-work drinks, apparently, were non-negotiable.

Beer was a staple of everyday life in ancient Egypt, consumed by workers, farmers and just about everyone else. It was nourishment, part of religious offerings and sometimes even a form of payment.

The Drunkards of Menkaure takes that history and gives it the souvenir treatment it probably deserved: three Egyptians enjoying a drink beneath a hieroglyphic-inspired design.

Perfect for Egyptology enthusiasts, archaeology nerds, ancient history lovers and anyone who appreciates that humanity has been finding reasons for another round for a very long time.

Civilisation has come a long way. Happy hour hasn’t.

A souvenir from Ancient Egypt. Several millennia late, but who’s counting?
