When the young Macedonian king approached the philosopher and offered to grant him a favour, Diogenes reportedly asked him to move out of the sunlight.
This minimalist design captures that extraordinary encounter through a single golden sun, two contrasting figures and one long shadow.
Inspired by the ancient account, the artwork uses restrained colour and Swiss-style geometric composition to explore a rather timeless question: What can you offer someone who wants nothing from you?
