Before targeted advertising, there was a giant man with an axe.
Inspired by the oversized fibreglass figures known as Muffler Men, this lumberjack celebrates one of Route 66’s most recognisable roadside traditions. Built to attract customers to American businesses from the 1960s onward, these giants became destinations in their own right.
A souvenir of the Mother Road’s wonderfully unsubtle approach to getting your attention.
This replaces the generic lumberjack description. It identifies the real roadside tradition without claiming the illustration is one particular statue.
